Artist of The Month Event: Barb Richard

Connecticut River Artisans Cooperative welcomes the month of June and the start of Summer. We return to our Artist of the Month event with our Jeweler and two-time president, Barb Richard.

To say that Barb is a “Jeweler” is an understatement for sure. Barb’s pieces range from formal to fun. She is known for her remarkable beadwork and has been featured in numerous publications. Her bead acorns are her trademark and were the first pieces to be lauded in a magazine. Of late, Barb has mastered the art of “fused” glass. She has produced jewelry, decorative dishes and sun catchers in this medium.

Barb loves what she does in every piece. There is love as well as artistic skill in all of her work. Barb surely has something, that will appeal to every taste and price range in her collection.

Barb Richard’s beautiful pieces can be seen at her Artist of the Month reception on Sunday, July 5 ^th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at 55 Main Street, Essex. Join us for a nibble and a beverage and enjoy the company of some of our other artisans. We look forward to seeing you.
