Essex Historical Society Hosts “Walking Weekend

Like a little exercise with your history? Essex Historical Society (EHS) combines local lore and the great outdoors as it hosts its popular program series, “Walking Weekend,” on July 27, 28 and 29, 2018. The event features four different walking tours within the Town of Essex in which attendees enjoy an easy stroll along the Town’s historic streets learning about the major industries, structures and personalities that shaped the area. EHS’s trained, knowledgeable guides will lead an hour+ long tour over fairly level, paved terrain, covering three centuries of history.
