Stanley Kolber Bird Photography Workshop

March 11, 2017 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Free with museum admission

Join Stanley Kolber, award winning nature photographer, for a wonderful photography workshop in the museum’s Eagles of Essex exhibit. Birds were Stan’s first love when, some fifteen years ago, he picked up a camera and set a course for photography as a second career and full-time artistic endeavor. And although the subject of his work has evolved, his ardor for birds, and for rendering them lovingly and faithfully, is undiminished. Stan’s work is held in corporate and private collections, and he has had a one-man show at Chelsea, New York’s Pleiades Gallery. He was one of only fourteen artists selected out of four hundred submitting artists nationwide to participate in a Pleiades juried show whose juror was a curator of American Art at the Guggeheim Museum.
In addition to helping skills development, his greatest pleasure in giving workshops is the opportunity to kindle and encourage his audience’s interest in the natural world. He hopes that young people as well as adults will attend the workshops, so that he can impart some of his own enthusiasm to the next generation.

Pre-registration is recommended, seating is limited.
Program is free with museum admission.
