Discover the history and environment of New England’s Great River at the Connecticut River Museum. Bring your family and explore the exhibits! Discover what it was like to be a submarine pilot during the American Revolution as you climb aboard a replica of the Turtle submarine. Walk all 410 miles of the River as you travel our vertical galleries filled with aerial photos and a creative mural of the River. Learn the stories of both the people and the River from 12,000 years ago through the present in our three floors of exhibits. From May through October, sail aboard the Onrust, our historic reproduction of Adriaen Block’s vessel from 1614. Don’t miss the family tradition of our Annual Train Show which runs from Thanksgiving through February. The Eagle Watch exhibit and Winter Wildlife boat tours are a fun way to get on the water in March. Stop by the Connecticut River Museum to see our array of changing exhibits and programs.
