Book Mending Clinic

Do any of your beloved books at home need mending? Bring one of them or a few to the Essex Library’s book mending clinic on Saturday, February 22, at 10:30 a.m. Librarians Susan Bradley and Jana Pietrzyk will show how to mend a variety of damage to books  and provide tips on how best to fix broken spines, torn pages, and loose hinges. All mending materials and supplies will be provided for the clinic. A list of supplies and their vendors will be available at the event. Books to practice on with new mending skills will be available for attendees at this hands-on event.
