Book Talk with Sarah Cody at Essex Library

Join us at Essex Library when we host Emmy-award winning news anchor Sarah Cody to discuss her new book: Around Every Corner of Connecticut: 100 Towns to Explore Every Season. Using her experience as a travel reporter in the state for more than twenty years, Sarah takes you to her favorite spots in Connecticut, Essex being one of them. For each of the destinations in the book, Sara adds valuable, and sometimes little-known information, and tips. Books will be available for sale and signing at the event. This event is FREE and open to the public at Essex Library, 33 West Avenue, Essex, CT. Light refreshments will be served.
About Sarah Cody
Sarah Cody is a weekend morning news anchor at News 8, producing two weekly segments: 8 Things To Do This Weekend and Connecticut Families. Before coming to News 8, Sarah worked at Fox 61 for 18 years, producing and hosting the popular Mommy Minute and DayTrippers segments. She also covered breaking news events, such as 9/11. For a time, she spearheaded an Arts and Entertainment series, interviewing celebrities such as Jon Bon Jovi, Kid Rock, Jewel, Jessica Simpson, Julie Andrews and Martin Short.
Often tapping into her own experiences, Sarah wrote a parenting column for the Hartford Courant. Additionally, she contributed home and travel features to Hartford Magazine. After graduating from Trinity College in Hartford, Sarah began her media career at 7 News in Boston, where she was an assignment editor, satellite producer, and field producer. She has received a Food Allergy Hero Award, a Mental Health Media Award, and a Local Leader-Local Legend Unsung Hero Award. Sarah is also the proud recipient of three Emmy Awards.
