“Carnival of the Amimals” presented by Essex Winter Series

A perennial favorite, The Carnival of the Animals is a humorous musical suite by Camille Saint-Saëns, which – through 14 short movements – mimics a variety of animals. This family-friendly concert will be performed on Sunday, April 27th by Orchestra New England, under the baton of James Sinclair, and will feature narration of Ogden Nash’s witty verses by Jacqueline Hubbard, Executive Director of the Ivoryton Playhouse. The versatility of the orchestra and four-hands piano performance combined with the playfulness of the music and narration are sure to delight all ages.

Admission is free. All attendees MUST have a ticket. Reservations are highly recommended as seating is limited. Please reserve seats for young children, even though you may anticipate that they will sit on an adult’s lap. Concert begins at 2:00 pm at Valley Regional High School in Deep River, CT; outer doors open at 1:30 pm; auditorium doors open at 1:45 pm. Accessible parking, entry and seating are available.
