Endangered Animals (Ages 8+)

Essex Library will host Endangered Animals; presented by Shaun Roche of the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge, on Friday, May 19, from 4-5 PM.

When you hear the word “endangered” you might think of pandas, elephants, and rhinos. But there are lots of threatened and endangered species right here in America – even in our own corner of Connecticut! In this family-friendly presentation, learn about endangered animals and what the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is doing to save them. This is the 50th anniversary year of the Endangered Species Act, so we’ll also talk about what YOU can do to help.
