ESTATE PLANNING: PROACTIVE ASSET PROTECTION

Attorney Erin Duques returns to offer another estate planning program for the Essex Library on Zoom to discuss more ways you can protect your home and assets from Connecticut’s expensive long-term care costs. Her presentation in February focused on strategies that could be used if you did little planning ahead and find yourself in crisis mode. But what can you do to make sure you don’t end up in crisis mode? In this session on May 5 at 7 p.m., you’ll learn ways to proactively protect your assets far in advance. You’ll learn about irrevocable trusts, who to choose as a trustee, the risks of gifting, and more.

Attorney Erin Duques is an estate planning attorney with the law firm Czeipiga Daly Pope & Perri and is based in the firm’s Madison office. Erin is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association Elder Law and Trust & Probate sections. She lives in Madison with her family and serves the Madison community on the town’s Board of Selectmen.
