Holiday Show and Art Workshops: Embellishment and Ornamentation

Spectrum Gallery’s holiday show Embellishment and Ornamentation features fine art with decorative detail and adornment, photography with heightened expressionism and handmade apparel to keep your holiday season glowing with warmth. Don’t forget the wide selection of unique ornaments on their 6-foot tree and many NEW seasonal gifts in the Store. The show opens with a reception on Friday, November 18 from 6:30-9pm and runs through January 8, 2017. Upcoming events include a Holiday Wreath Design Workshop, Sunday, December 4 (1-3:30pm) to create a 30” live wreath using freshly-picked greenery, hand-made bows and painted objects; Stylish Coiled Paper Ornament Workshop, Sunday, December 11 (1-3:30pm) to create whimsical and contemporary-designed ornaments and a Pressed Flower Workshop, December 11 (1-3:30pm) to make your holiday cards works of art this season using an abundance of holiday botanicals. Free to Member/Donors and their guests is a Papier-mâché Ornament Evening on Friday, December 9 (6:30-9pm).  Public is invited for a $5 fee for materials.
