Introduction To Calligraphy via Zoom

Come learn calligraphy, virtually in a zoom meeting, with professional calligrapher Debby Reelitz on Saturday, August 22 from 10:30 – Noon, sponsored by the Essex Library.  Blackletter Calligraphy, a classic, dramatic, lettering style is also known as the Gothic style. It is a great way to introduce yourself to calligraphy with the broad edge nib. Reelitz will guide attendees through the basics to illustrate how to create your own dramatic Gothic letters. Materials needed for attendees: two pencils, masking tape, ruler, blank paper. Optional: colored pencils, highlighters, markers. Digital handouts will be provided when you register and will need to be printed. Teens are welcome to attend.
