MEDICARE 101: UNDERSTANDING YOUR MEDICARE BENEFITS AND OPTIONS

Facing the maze of Medicare plans on your own can be a daunting task. If you’re getting close to 65 yourself or simply want to understand how Medicare works so you can help a family member or friend enroll wisely, come in to the Essex Library on October 7 from 10 a.m. to Noon to watch a virtual presentation by certified CHOICES counselor and Senior Resources Agency on Aging Director of Benefits Laura Crews. Crews will provide free, unbiased, objective counseling to Medicare beneficiaries, their caregivers, and providers to help them understand their Medicare coverage and healthcare options in order to make informed choices. Open enrollment for Medicare registration runs from October 15 through December 7, 2021. The virtual workshop will be screened in the Library’s Program Room. Masks are required inside the Library. Seating is limited.
