Abstract Flowers Painting

This class is for beginners and practiced painters who want to learn the art of abstraction. Our model will be a colorful bouquet of real flowers which will inspire the imagination to celebrate their beauty. We will begin by noticing the various flower shapes, colors and textures. Then discuss our observations. By exploring thoughts and sharing ideas the class will gain insight into new ways of interpreting and painting flowers. Although focused on abstraction emphasis is placed on composition, painting techniques to improve skills and the expressive power of color. We will review a variety of design and painting methods that will best convey your ideas. Learn how to design and paint an abstract flower composition. Flowers have magical powers. The bright colors of blossoms quickly turn a frown into a smile. This class is an opportunity to paint your love of flowers.
