Sustainable Essex Environmental Discussion Series

FreeThe Sustainable Essex Committee, in collaboration with the Essex Library, will kick off an eight-part Environmental Discussion Series with “How Our ‘Solid Waste’ (Garbage) Contributes to Climate Change” presented by Sherill Baldwin, an Environmental Analyst with the CT Department of Energy & Environmental Protection at the Essex Library on Saturday, February 29 at 12 p.m. Attendees will learn about: the solid waste crises in Essex and Connecticut; how garbage emits excessive levels of CO-2 emissions that contribute to global warming; what the various components are of solid waste and their relative environmental impacts; and how you can reduce the amount of solid waste in your household. Light refreshments will be served.
