“Terrific Toddlers and Twos” Parent Discussion with 2-1-1 Childcare

Essex Library will host Terrific Toddlers and Twos: a discussion for parents, on Wednesday, May 24 at 6:30 PM on Zoom.

Parents: Explore what makes toddlers unique and fun! Families will learn about developmental milestones behind typical toddler behavior, and how to help toddlers cope with strong emotions. Kathleen Wilby will be facilitating the discussion and providing resources for families.

Kathy has worked in the field of early care and education for many years in settings including licensed family, child care center, and after school programs. She has been trained in the tools used for quality improvement in these settings, such as the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale, among others. She was an online instructor at Charter Oak State College for ten years, and now works with 2-1-1 Child Care as an Early Childhood Specialist.

As an organization, 2-1-1 Child Care helps families find child care to best meet their needs, maintains current listings of licensed and licensed exempt child care programs in Connecticut, and provides early care professionals with training, technical assistance and resources.
