The Essex Library’s Centerbrook Architects Lecture Series Presents “The Vision & Architectural Designs of Hugh Ferriss and Lee Lawrie” with Architectural Historian Dr. Chuck Benson
Hugh Ferriss and Lee Lawrie had an enormous effect upon architectural thinking and execution in the twentieth century in America. Hugh Ferriss for his brooding charcoal renderings of sky-scrapers in New York. Lee Lawrie was the lead designer and sculptor for most of the sculptures at Rockefeller Center and numerous buildings across the United States. Learn more about these influential designers in an illustrated talk by Dr. Chuck Benson on Friday, March 18th at 7 p.m. at the Essex Town Hall. Free and open to the public.
