Choosing the right spot to plant your peony plants is key to growing large, sumptuous blooms for over 100 years with little to no maintenance.
Discover top tips and tricks about planting, cultivating, and propagating this summertime showstopper from Dan Furman of Cricket Hill Garden, a 6-acre garden in Connecticut known affectionately as Peony Heaven.

On Thursday, March 28 at 7 p.m. at the Essex Library, Furman will also delight the audience with tales from the cultivation history of the various types of peonies in the US, Japan, and China, where it has long been seen as a symbol of nobility and virtue. There will be Cricket Hill peonies for sale at this event.

This program is free and open to the public. For more information or to register, please call the Essex Library at 860-767-1560. The Essex Library is located at 33 West Avenue in Essex.
