Now in its 11th year, Thursday’s on the Dock continues to rock the River! Each Thursday night in the summer, the foot of Main Street in Essex is the place to be from 5:30 –7:30 pm. We have a fabulous lineup this year thanks to our presenting sponsor, Prive Swiss Wellness.

Old Dog New Trick is an increasingly popular local talent that sprang onto the vibrant Lower Connecticut River Valley music scene some eight years ago beginning with the father-son duo of Bruce and Mitch Thorndike, then adding the rhythm force of Abe Wilson and Paul Emmerling. Geoff Cox on sax and flute completes the colorful front section. With a suitcase full of original songs and an ever-evolving mashup of creative covers, ODNT, as they are known, has grown a fan base that is as vital and exuberant as the five lads themselves. From Van Morrison to the Stones, Zac Brown, Chris Stapleton, CSNY, The Band and of course, JJ Cale! Never the same song played twice! They’ll have you up and dancing, singing along with their fan-favored originals…and of course calling out for One More Song!

From July 9 through September 3, guests can listen to music, get a FREE massage, taste a new beverage, and take in our gorgeous waterfront views. These events are free, although we do pass a hat to enable us to continue the tradition.

Beer and wine are available for purchase. Porky Pete’s BBQ is onsite with options for your dinner or snacks.
