Water Chestnut Programs – une 13th & 25th
The Connecticut River Conservancy and Connecticut River Museum want your help controlling one of the worst invasive species in the Connecticut River- Trapa natans, the water chestnut. Join us on June 13th @ 6:30pm for an informative session that aims to teach visitors how to identify and report water chestnut as well as when it’s appropriate to the pull the plants, how to properly pull them and how to properly dispose of the pulled plants.
Then on June 25th, we will host a “pull party” as we try to make a dent on the local population of this unwelcome invader. For more information or to register, please e-mail Suzanne Burns at sburns@ctrivermuseum.org.
