When Pets Go Missing, A Virtual Talk w/CT Dog Gone Recovery at Essex Library

Join us online as the Essex Library hosts Carol Ferucci and Patti Hawkins from CT Dog Gone Recovery to provide practical knowledge and tips to help individuals and families reunite with their pet. The talk will cover what to do to prevent a missing pet, the critical steps to take in the first moments after discovering a pet is missing and proper procedure to follow if a pet is found without an owner. About the Speakers:
Carol Ferrucci – Carol has been affiliated with CT Dog Gone Recovery (CTDGRV) since its creation in 2013. She is an administrator, board member and the lead volunteer for Meriden and surrounding areas. Carol trains new volunteers and coordinates specialty trapping when required. Using her pet trapping skills, she helps to design new traps and instructs volunteers on their set up.
During her time at CTDGRV, Carol has provided training programs for animal control, educational programs to organizations and schools, as well as worked with students on projects for volunteer work credit and capstone projects.
Patti Hawkins – Patti has been with CTDGRV since the beginning in 2013. She is an administrator, board member and lead volunteer in the Greater Bristol area. She is the new volunteer coordinator for CTDGRV and manages the organization’s website and social media. Patti is also responsible for training CTDGRV volunteers to help with flyer and poster set-ups. She purchases supplies for the leads to help aid in their searches.
Patti and her husband live in Bristol. The recently rescued a 7-year-old pit-bull Zeke from the New Britain pound. Patti works from home and is responsible for much of the behind-the-scenes work at CTDGRV.
