The Essex Board of Trade invites you to capture the beauty, charm, and spirit of Essex, Centerbrook, or Ivoryton for our brand new photo contest! Theme: “The Essex Experience” Prize: The winning photo will be framed and featured at the Essex Art Association Gallery! Deadline to Submit: July 31, 2025 Public voting on this page from August 1 to 10 for the top five finalists How to Enter: Snap a photo or photos that wonderfully represents Essex, Centerbrook, or Ivoryton. Grove Street Story Time

Essex Library: Eastern Coyotes in Connecticut

Essex Library 33 West Ave, Essex

Master Wildlife Conservationist Paul Colburn will present a talk focused on the history of coyotes in Connecticut, which includes an overview of coyote habitat, diet, behavior, and reproduction. Colburn will also offer practical recommendations for optimum coexistence with our coyote population. Coyote artifacts will be shared with attendees.
