The EBOT Photo Contest

The Essex Board of Trade invites you to capture the beauty, charm, and spirit of Essex, Centerbrook, or Ivoryton for our brand new photo contest! Theme: “The Essex Experience” Prize: The winning photo will be framed and featured at the Essex Art Association Gallery! Deadline to Submit: July 31, 2025 Public voting on this page from August 1 to 10 for the top five finalists How to Enter: Snap a photo or photos that wonderfully represents Essex, Centerbrook, or Ivoryton. Upload up to five high-quality photos from July 14 to July 31 using the form linked here Submission Guidelines: You may enter as many as five photos, using this form each time. (Refresh your screen as needed.) There is no restriction on when your photo(s) may have been taken. The photo(s) you submit must be your own. Explore & Play Hikes: Geocache Challenge

Program open to families with children ages 5+. Did you know there’s games you can play outdoors? Join Essex Library, Ivoryton Library, and Essex Land Trust to explore some fun family games to LEVEL UP your trailblazing! As we explore some beautiful ELT properties, we’ll introduce exciting outdoor games that turn every walk into a discovery! Whether you're new to hiking or a seasoned trail walker, this program will inspire fresh ways to enjoy nature together. In this session, families will learn how to use the free Geocache app to join the world’s largest treasure hunt by using a GPS-enabled device or smartphone to search for hidden geocaches! This program will be held at The Millrace, Ivory St, Ivoryton. In the event of rain, this program will not be held. This program is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
