Groundhog Day Parade 2025 a Big Success

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Essex Ed Groundhog Day Parade 2025, proudly sponsored by the Essex Board of Trade (EBOT)! It was wonderful to see so many people on such a brisk day with pots, pans, and noisemakers to help wake Essex Ed up!

Congratulations to the Connecticut River Museum for being selected as the honoree for this year’s parade! They dressed Essex Ed as a bald eagle and hope you can join them for a Winter Wildlife Cruise aboard @ctriverquest to hear the amazing comeback story of eagles from virtual extinction to repopulation! The Connecticut River Museum is a private, not-for-profit, educational institution that is fully accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and is a member of the Council of American Maritime Museums and the International Congress of Maritime Museums.
