The First Congregational Church in Essex

Founded in 1852, The First Congregational Church in Essex is an Open and Affirming congregation. We invite you to worship with us on Sundays at 10 am, with Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Church School is offered for children in K through 8th grade, with confirmation for those in 9th grade. Our music program encompasses adult, youth, and bell choirs and we offer opportunities for fellowship through service, social, and educational events with an emphasis on outreach to our community. We support The Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries and sponsor an annual "Making a Difference" scholarship award to a Valley Regional High School senior.
