Bikes For Kids is a Connecticut based non-profit organization that brings smiles to children one bike at a time.

At the Community Foundation of Middlesex County, we know it’s the little things that count, that can change a community and improve the quality of life for all.

Where dedicated faculty (all with music degrees) teach private and group lessons covering a broad spectrum of musical interests.

The Essex Economic Development Commission serves as an advocate for local businesses and works to preserve an adequate balance between business and residential properties.

The Essex Land Trust preserves and enhances the community’s open space and natural resources for the benefit of future generations.

The Essex Library is your community center for lifelong learning and cultural enrichment.

The Essex Lions club has been serving the communities of Essex, Centerbrook and Ivoryton since 1950.  More recently the Essex Lions merged with the Westbrook Lions Club and are now providing services to the town of Westbrook as well.

Set against the beauty of a 1,000-acre natural preserve, Essex Meadows creates an environment where residents can continue their best lives and pursue their interests.

Essex Park and Recreation is dedicated to building the community through our parks and programs. We offer a variety of different programs for all ages.

The Essex Tree Committee was established in 1990 to inventory, preserve and replace our priceless resource of street trees.

Essex Veterans Memorial Hall has an inherent responsibility to financially or otherwise assist veterans, their families and the community.

One of Pieper Veterinary’s family of hospitals, the Essex Veterinary Clinic offers primary care, specialty care, urgent care, and 24-hour emergency care.

The Ivoryton Library was founded in 1871 and is still  housed in its original structure, built in l889. It has continued to function as a library for almost l50 years.

We take action. As community volunteers, we reach out to neighbors in need. We build, support, and organize. We save lives. We work locally and globally.

For over 15 years, Shore Publishing, LLC, has provided the Connecticut shoreline with the best in uniquely local news and advertising.

The Essex Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to making a difference in the lives of Essex citizens by providing medical, educational, social, welfare, cultural, recreational, and civic support.

Since our inception in 1920, Visiting Nurses of the Lower Valley, Inc. has grown into a full service home health agency that serves the Lower Connecticut River Valley and Shoreline region.
