Art Explorers: Andy Warhol and Pop Art

Essex Library will host the first session of our Art Explorers series on Saturday, June 24 at 10 AM. Each session will focus on a famous artist and how they “found their voice” through their artistic form of expression!

For this session, we’ll look at Andy Warhol, a Pop Art pioneer! Children will learn facts about Mr. Warhol by reading the book, Dropping in on Andy Warhol, view examples of his art, and then have the opportunity to create their own Pop Art print!

This program is made possible in part by a $2,000 Summer Enrichment Grant, issued by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Connecticut State Library.
