Barb Richard Featured Artist, August 2021

To say that Barb is a “Jeweler” is an understatement to be sure. Barb’s pieces range from formal to fun. She is known for her remarkable beadwork and has been featured in publications. Her bead acorns are her trademark and were the first pieces to be lauded in a magazine.
Most recently, Barb has mastered the art of “fused” glass. Layers of glass are fired in a very hot kiln. This method achieves pieces that range from the simple to the complex. She has produced jewelry, decorative dishes and suncatchers in this medium.
That she loves what she does is obvious in every piece. There is love as well as artistic skill in all of her work. Barb surely has something that appeals to everyone in her collection.
Barb Richard’s beautiful pieces can be seen at her Artist of the Month reception on Sunday, August 8th at our shop 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at 55 Main Street, Essex. Barb’s exquisite pieces will be discounted for her reception.
