Countdown to College Series: Letter of Continued Interest Workshop (Gr. 10-12)

Essex Library will host a Letter of Continued Interest Workshop on Thursday,
February 16, on Zoom, at 7:00 PM. Early Action decisions have been made and
sent. If your teen was waitlisted by their first-choice university, writing a Letter of
Continued Interest will show their dream school they are still interested, and
highlight their best traits as a candidate.
Join writing consultant and college essay coach Kristie Schmidt in this workshop to
learn more about Letters of Continued Interest: what they are, how they can help,
and tips and tricks to write a strong letter to impress university admissions staff.
Kristie Schmidt is a graduate of Smith College and Harvard University, a trained
Gateless Writing facilitator, and has been coaching young adults on college and
graduate school essays for decades.
This online Zoom program is free and open to all teens in grades 10-12 looking to
learn more about Letters of Continued Interest. Registration is required. To
