Ivoryton Pumpkin Chase: Come for the run/stay for the fun

Do you fancy a run (or walk) in the country? Come to Ivoryton Library’s annual Pumpkin Chase on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Registration starts at 7:30 at the village green. The kids’ fun run starts at 8:30, with a 5k run/walk at 9 a.m. The longer run includes a one-mile trail trek.
Special running socks are free to the first 150 registrants, and there’ll be individual and team costume awards. Awards will also be given to the top finishers, male and female, and top walker, as well as awards for the fastest males and females in various age categories (from 9 years and younger all the way to 70+).
Cost is $25 if you register by the end of the day, Oct. 11. Race-day registration is $30. The kids’ run registration is $5.
