Korean Lotus Lantern Workshop at Essex Library

Join the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project (KSCPP) for a craft workshop to make a lotus flower lantern using colored paper and wire frames. Learn more about Korean history and culture and leave with a beautiful lantern! This 75-minute program includes a cultural presentation, a short film, and the lantern craft workshop. All materials provided.
The Korean Spirit and Culture Project (KSCPP) is a not-for-profit organization that was formed in September 2005 to promote Korean history and culture to the wider world. KSCPP is designed to introduce Korea’s long and rich artistic history, the spirit of its people, and its cultural values. In appreciation for the United States’ support for Korea during the Korean War and in the years that followed, KSCPP has held 2,000 complimentary presentations throughout the country so far.
Essex Library programs are free and open to the public.
