ESSEX, CT: Eeek! It’s time for scarecrows to storm Essex! The Essex Board of Trade (EBOT) is excited to host its annual Scarecrow FestiFALL this October! On any beautiful fall day between October 7 – 30, the popular “Scarecrow Lamp-Post Presentation” along the Main Streets of Centerbrook, Essex and Ivoryton villages will be on full display.
This year’s theme is BARBENHEIMER, so roll with the theme or go rogue! Scarecrows created by Essex residents and businesses will be hung by October 7.
Scarecrow viewers are encouraged to vote for their favorite. The first-place winner will get bragging rights! Voting begins October 7 at any of these locations: J. Alden Clothiers, CT River Museum, Savour Café, Blue Hound Cookery, Ivoryton Library, and Elite Nutrition.
