Science Talk: “Hidden Expansion” with Yale Science Communication Webinar
November 12, 2020 @ 7:00 pm
FreeWhat is essential is invisible to the naked eye. –Antoine de Saint-Exupery. What can’t we see with our naked eye? And does it matter? From dark matter in the universe to biological cells that make up each of us to the tiniest viruses, the Yale Science Communication team will discuss worlds unseen and how they grow in a zoom meeting hosted by the Essex Library on Thursday, November 12 at 7 p.m. Along the way, we will get a glimpse of where we came from, what we’re made of, and how to harness these hidden worlds to develop new medical treatments and advance technology. Yale Science Communication teams are made up of graduate and professional students and postdoctoral scholars, who make science accessible to the general public, with the belief that anyone can engage with science and use it in their lives.
This Zoom meeting is free and open to the public. Advance registration is required. For more information or to register, see the Essex Library website: www.youressexlibrary.org or call the library at 860-767-1560.
