Thanksgiving Floral Centerpiece Design

hanksgiving will be here before you know it and what better way to start the season, than by creating your own stunning floral centerpiece.
In this workshop, Mary Dutko, a professional floral designer with over 30 years in the floral industry, will give a brief history on the tradition and elements used when creating a Thanksgiving Cornucopia, also called the Horn of Plenty.
For this class Mary will provide a Cornucopia basket, secured with fresh oasis foam, and a beautiful selection of seasonal flowers, assorted greenery and a variety of unique finishing accents. Your finished centerpiece will be similar to the picture shown. (Cornucopia Basket is not shown in picture).
We will cover the five basic elements of Floral Design and familiarize you with the tools and materials used. As well we will discuss how to choose your materials, different color palettes, maintenance and other unique elements when creating your design.
If you would like to add some of your own unique elements such as pods, feathers or any other fun elements from your home or garden, please, feel free to bring along.
