Spectrum Gallery and Artisans Store of Centerbrook presents its holiday show:
Winter! Its Beauty and Secrets

With original artwork that uniquely features views of winter – both its beauty and challenges – the show explores how nature survives and even thrives in the harshest of seasons.

A Gallery Reception is Fri, Nov. 17 (6:30-9pm) at 61 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT with food, wine, and the entertainment of Kathy King who plays a 34-string acoustic lever harp, both as a solo instrument and in combination with her voice. The Gallery will display a 7 foot White Holiday Tree adorned with ornaments by local artisans

Holiday Body Painting and Ornament Making Event
Friday, December 8th (6:30-9pm) with performance artist Ana Ughetti who transforms a model into a Winter Nymph using body paint and makeup art.

Members, Donors and Children free. General Public $5 admission.

Come join the fun! Body painting and ornament making all in one evening with wine and desserts. See an evening of live body painting on a Human Canvas where visual and performance art merge… Watch Ana Ughetti transform her model into a Winter Nymph combining techniques of body paint and makeup art.

While sipping wine and enjoying desserts create a beautiful ornament from upcycled wine corks, decorative beads, adding a bit of whimsy with wire and ribbon. Great Christmas tree ornaments for a wine lover!

$5 general public; Children, Members and Donors free. Gallery and Store holiday hours are Wed-Sat (12-6pm); and Sun (12-5pm). Dec. 9 through 23, Spectrum is open Mon-Sat. (12-6pm); Sun. (12-5pm). Spectrum is closed Christmas Eve. Spectrum Gallery is an expansion of the non-profit Arts Center Killingworth which organizes classes, workshops and art camps and offers opportunities for emerging and established artists to develop, display and sell their work.
