It's time for our annual egg hunt! The Eggstravaganza is open to Essex children & their guests from birth to third grade. Plan to arrive for the egg hunt 15 minutes early as we will begin at 10 am sharp! July 2 – Essex Village Main Street Park – Middletown Symphonic Band has an extensive repertoire: classical and semi-classical pieces, Broadway, jazz, marches, holiday favorites and traditional concert band music.
The Park & Rec summer concert featuring Local Honey scheduled for tonight, Tuesday July 8th, has been cancelled. The National Weather Service said that a "slow moving frontal boundary will interact with a tropical air mass to bring showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Locally heavy rainfall is possible and rainfall rates may be near, or exceed, 2" per hour at times. This rainfall could lead to flash flooding." The weather service said the severe thunderstorm threat is most likely between 2-10 p.m. and that a "few thunderstorms may be severe with damaging wind gusts in excess of 58 mph." The best chance for severe thunderstorms is in lower Fairfield County, but there is a chance all across the state. Shorebreak is a 4-piece indie rock band playing original music with a wide range of influences. Led by singer-songwriter Sharif Okasha, the songs pull from a wide range of musical styles, and range from indie pop to reggae, rock, folk, and blues.

His song selections span decades and many genres of music. Bloomer knits these songs into a seamless show making sitting in your seat nearly impossible.

August 5 - Ivoryton Village Green- Southern Voice is a contemporary Country Cover band that plays all the chart hits today, as well as some other genres of music to keep the crowd up and on the dance floor. Though they are a country band, they play many other artists to cover the pop, rock, southern rock, and dance genres. Their goal is to make sure your time with them is one to remember.
