Beekeeping Basics & Honey Tasting

Did you know that only female bees can sting? Join us to learn more fascinating facts about bees and pollination as the Essex Library hosts Mark Ceneri of Trumbull Nature & Arts Center to discuss bees and beekeeping. Ceneri will lead a lively discussion on the importance of pollination to food production, provide facts about the cooperative structure of honeybee society and all you need to know about honey, royal jelly and beeswax. The program will also include a tasting of Connecticut raw honey. This event is FREE and open to the public at Essex Library, 33 West Avenue, Essex, CT.
